The Blue Mountains Business Advantage awards celebrate excellence in local business and are an initiative of BIZNET, the Regional Chamber of Commerce for the greater Blue Mountains City Council and Blue Mountains Tourism Ltd.
The 70 finalists were chosen from over 500 submissions for the awards. Finalists were judged on all aspects of their business including key areas such as marketing and sales, customer service, products and services and employee satisfaction.

Michael Edwards Lifestyle Homes has received multiple honours from the Master Builders and Housing Industry Associations including:
- Winner of the 2006 “Design and Construct – House up to $500,000” award.
- Finalist in the 2006 “Custom Built – less than $300,000” category.
- Merit in the 2006 “Energy-efficiency Housing” category.
The Housing Awards showcase the very best in residential building, rewarding quality, workmanship and innovation. They attract a broad cross-section of the residential building sector including project home builders, contract builders, multi-unit developers, medium density housing builders as well as builders specialising in alterations and additions.
